201 hereunto subscribed my name and affixed my seal this Twenty ninth day of october in the year Eighteen hundred and sixty four Signed Sealed in R S Tuck (Seal) presence of Owen M Taylor E D Owen State of Maryland anne arundel County to wit I hereby Certify that on this Thirty first day of October A D Eighteen hundred and sixty four before me a Justice of the Peace of the State of Maryland in and for anne arundel County personally appeared Rachel S Tuck known to me to be identical person mentioned in the aforegoing Deed of Manumission and did acknowledge the same to be her act and deed Witness my name on the day & year aforesaid Owen M Taylor J P Recorded the 31 day of October 1864 To all whom it may Concern Be it known that I Abram Claude of anne arundel County in the State of Maryland for divers good causes and considerations me thereunto moving have released from slavery liberated manumitted and set free and by these presents do hereby release from slavery liberate manumit and set free my negro woman Emily addison being of the age of Twenty five years and able to work and gain a sufficient livelihood and maintenance and her the said Emily addison I do declare to be henceforth free manumitted and discharged from all manner of service or servitude to me my Executors or administrators forever Signed and Sealed in A Claude (Seal) presence of Owen M Taylor W G Tuck |
