Revenue Stamp        and acknowledged the above Deed of
5 Cents  E S             Manumission and Release of service to be
Oct 25 1864            his free act and deed

Recorded the 25 day of October 1864


    I James Iglehart of Anne arundel County and
State of Maryland do hereby manumit and set free
My negro Slave woman named Harriet Brown aged
about forty three her freedom to commence from the
date of these presents  Witness My hand and seal
this twenty seventh day of October Eighteen hundred
and sixty four

State of Maryland Anne arundel County to wit
                   I hereby Certify that on this twenty Seventh
day of October in the year Eighteen hundred and sixty four
before the Subscriber a Justice of the peace of the state

appeared James Iglehart and acknowledged the
aforegoing deed to be his act
