186 E Deed of Manumission and Release of service Whereas my slave Frederick Parker has enlisted in the service of the united states Now in Consideration thereof I Joseph Bacey of anne arundel County State of Maryland do hereby in Consideration of said enlistment Manumit set free and release the above named Frederick Parker from all service due me his freedom to Commence from the 31 day of March the date of his enlistment as aforesaid in the 39 Regiment of Colored Troops in the service of the united states Witness my hand and seal this six day of June 1864 Witness Joseph Bacey (Seal) Sare Bird James Diole of Jos W F House Anne arundel County State of Maryland 1864 6 april Before me appeared the day Joseph Bacey and acknowledged the above Deed of Manumission and Release of Service to be his free act and deed Nathaniel Chew J P Recorded the 6 day of June 1864 E Deed of Manumission and Release of Service Whereas my slave Tobias W Stewart has enlisted in the service of the united states Now in Consideration thereof I William Watson of Anne arundel County State of Maryland do hereby in Consideration of said enlistment Manumit set free and release the above named Negro Tobias W Stewart from all service due me his freedom to Commence from the 23 of March last the date of his enlistment as aforesaid in the 34 Regiment of Colored Troops in the service of the united states Witness my hand & seal this 11 day of June 1864 William Watson (Seal) |
