70 This Deed of manumission made and executed this seventh day of march in the year of our Lord Eighteen hundred and Eighteen by David Robinson of ann arundel County and State of maryland Witnesseth that for divers good causes and considerations thereunto moving as well as for and in consideration of the sum of five dollars Current money of the United States to me in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged and himself therewith to be satisfyed contented and paid doth by these presents manumit liberate and set free and hereby forever discharge from all further service to me or my heirs after the expiration of the terms herein mentioned that is to say my negro woman Priscilla to be free and discharged from and after the first day of January in the year of our Lord Eighteen and twenty five and that her increase be free at the age of thirty years; Also that my negro boy Horris aged about three years shall be hereby free & for ever discharged from me & my heirs after the first day of Jany in the year of our Lord Eighteen hundred and forty five. In Witness whereof I have hereto set my hand and affixed my seal the day and year first within written Signed Sealed and delivered in the presence of Ch.s Waters David Robinson (seal) Solomon Johnson At the foot of the aforegoing deed was thus written to wit: State of maryland ann arundel County to wit Be it remembered That on the day of the within date came the within named David Robinson before (me) |
