614 Gaither the following negro boys for terms of years viz George aged nineteen to serve Eight years Jem aged twenty one years to serve six years and John aged twenty one years to serve a year from the date of said bill of sale and also by bill of sale of the 18 day of February 1839 recorded among the aforesaid records in Liber W S G no 2 fol 19 S I transferred to David M Perone of Baltimore County my negro boys Tom Tyler aged twenty three years to serve six years for the date of said bill of sale Alfred Taylor aged Eighteen years to serve Eight years and Bealle Gibson aged sixteen years to serve ten years from said date reserving my right to said transferred negroes after the expiration of their several terms I do hereby manumit liberate and set free them the said negroes so sold to the said Gaither and Perone to be free from and after their said terms of service and them and all the aforementioned negroes I do hereby declare to be lawfully manumitted and set free at the times herein specified from me or any claiming under thenceforth and for ever In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this twenty fourth day of november in the year Eighteen hundred and forty Signed Sealed and delivered in presence of us Israel T Richard P Snowden (seal) Plummer, Jane Brand At the foot of the aforegoing was thus written to wit State of Maryland anne arundel county sct Be it remembered that on this twenty fourth day of November in the year Eighteen hundred and forty before me the subscriber a Justice of the peace of the State of maryland in and for anne arundel county personally appears Richard P Snowden party grantor |
