552 and thirty three personally appears Ann Franklin party to the within Instrument of writing before me the subscriber a justice of the peace of the state of Maryland in and for Anne Arundel County and acknowledges the same to be her act and deed for the purposes within mentioned paid Acknowledged before and Certified by Ex.d d.d 2¼ Recorded the 14.th day of September 1833 To all whom it may concern be it known that I Henry Maynadier of Anne Arundel County in the State of Maryland for divers good causes and considerations me thereunto moving have released from slavery liberated manumitted and set free and by these presents do hereby release from slavery liberate manumit and set free my negro girl named Rebecca Roberson being of the age of nine years on the first day of September last past and able to work and gain a sufficient livelihood and maintenance and her the said negro girl named Rebecca Roberson I do declare to be henceforth free manumitted and discharged from all manner of servitude or service to me my executors or administrators forever In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this 25.th day of September in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty three Sealed & delivered in presence of Henry Maynadier (seal) James Hunter Th G Waters on |
