537 be henceforth manumitted and discharged from all services to him or to any claiming under him and to be free and manumitted according to the act of assembly in such cases made and provided chd Acknowledged before Edward Warfield 3¼ Recorded the 11.th day of June 1832 To all whom it may concern be it known that We Adam Miller John Miller and James Hunter of the city of Annapolis in the state of Maryland and williams Parsons of George Town District of Columbia for divers goods causes and considerations we thereunto moving as also in further consideration of five dollars current money to us in hand paid have released from slavery liberated manumatted and set free and by these presents do hereby release from slavery liberate manumit and set free our negro woman named Mary being of the age of thirty two years and able to work and gain a sufficient livelihood and maintenance and her the said negro woman named Mary we do declare to be henceforth free manumitted and discharged from all manner of servitude or service to us Executors or administrators for Ever In testimony whereof we have hereunto set our hands and affixed our seals this Seventeenth day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty two Signed sealed and delivered Adam Miller (seal) In the presence of John Miller (seal) Gideon white James Hunter (seal) Daniel Hart W.m Parsons (seal) At the foot of the aforegoing was thus written to wit Received on the day of the date within mentioned the sum of five dollars current money it being the |
