500 hereof is attached is now and was at that time and acting Justice of the peace within & for said county duly Elected commissioned and sworn into office and fully authorized to receive acknowledgments &c and to all his acts as such full faith is due and right to be given In Testimony whereof I have hereunto (seal) set my hand and affixed the seal of our said Court at Cincinnati this 17.th day of October Anno Domini 1831 Ex d d d Danl Gano Clk Annexed to the foregoing Power of attorney was the following Manumission to wit To all whom it may concern Be it known that I Daniel Hart of Anne Arundel county and state of Maryland attorney in fact of Thomas B Anderson of Cincinnati in the state of Ohio for divers good causes and considerations me thereunto moving and also in virtue of a Power of Attorney for this and other purposes to me given by the said Thomas B Anderson and also in further Consideration of the sum of Sixty Dollars Current money to the said Thomas B Anderson in hand paid have for and in the name and by the authority and direction of the said Thomas B Anderson released from slavery liberated manumitted and set free and by these presents do hereby release from slavery liberate manumit and set free one negro woman named Nelly Parker the property of the said Thomas B Anderson being of the age of thirty five years and able to work and gain a sufficient livelihood and maintenance and her the said negro woman named Nelly Parker I do declare to be henceforth free manumitted and discharged from all manner of servitude |
