471 This 30.th day of September 1830 personally appeared Amey Howard before the subscriber a Justice of the peace for Anne Arundel and acknowledged the above manumission to be the act and deed according to the meaning and true intent thereof James Clark Justice of paid the peace for A A County 2 Recorded the 26.th day of October 1830 To all whom it may concern be it known that I Jemima Duvall of Anne Arundel County in the State of Maryland for divers good causes and considerations me thereunto moving do release from slavery manumitt liberate and set free and by these presents do hereby release from slavery liberate manumitt and set free the following negroes to wit: negro boy Benjamin on the first day of august one thousand Eight hundred and fifty five negro Girl Milley on the first day of February one thousand Eight hundred and fourty nine negro girl Lydia on the first day of march one thousand eight hundred and fifty and negro boy Charles on the first day of October one thousand Eight hundred and fifty eight all of whom at the respective periods of time above specified being able to procure a sufficient livelyhood and maintainance The aforementioned negroes I do declare to be free manumitted and discharged as they respectively arrive at the periods of time above specified from all manner of servitude or service to me my or any claiming under me forever.
