about two years named Henny and her the said negro
woman named Marjory and her child named Henny I
do declare to be henceforth free manumitted and set free
and discharged from all manner of servitude or service to
me my heirs Executors or administrators forever  In witness
whereof I have set my hand and seal this twenty eighth day
of may Eighteen hundred thirty

       At the foot of the aforegoing was thus written to wit:
                Maryland Ann Arundel County sst  on this 28
day of may 1830 appeared Nathaniel Stinchicum before
the subscriber a Justice of the peace for the state and
County aforesaid and acknowledged the above Instrument
of writing to be his act and deed according to the true intent
and meaning thereof and the act of assembly in such case
made and provided                                 Gideon White

To all whom it may concern be it known that I David
Clark of anne arundel County in the State of maryland
for divers good causes and considerations me thereunto
moving as also in further consideration of seventy five
dollars Current money to me in hand paid have
released from slavery liberated manumitted and set free
and by these presents do hereby release from slavery
liberate manumit and set free my negro man Lot
Johnson being of the age forty four years and able to
work and gain a sufficient livelihood and maintenance
