462. her time of servitude expires they shall be free and I do hereby for myself my heirs executors and administrators the above named negroes release and discharge from all service from and after the above named termes forever In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 24.th day of May 1830 Signed sealed and delivered in the presence of us Amey Howard (seal) Cha.s C Ridgely Isaac H Howard On the back of the aforegoing was thus written to wit State of Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit On the 24.th day of may 1830 before the subscriber a Justice of the peace of said state for the County aforesaid appears Amey Howard and acknowledged the within manumission to be her act and deed according to the true intent and meaning thereof and the acts of assembly in such cases made and provided paid Acknowledged before James Clark 8¾ Recorded the 28.th day of May 1830 To all whom it may concern be it known that I Nathaniel Stinchicum of ann arundel County and State of Maryland for divers good causes me thereunto moving and also for the further sum of five dollars to me in hand paid have released from slavery liberated manumitted and set free and by these presents do hereby release from slavery manumit and set free my negro woman named Marjory aged about forty one years and able to work and gain a sufficient livelihood and her child aged about |
