391 aged fore years old I also manumitted my negrow Girl Priscilla 2 years old and then the above named Negrowes I do declare to be henceforth free manumitted and discharged from all manner of servitude or service to me my Executors or administrators for ever In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this fifteenth day of December in the year of our Lord 1827 Signed Sealed and delivered in the presence of Richd W Higgins William Gover (seal) Joshua Higgins On the back of the aforegoing was thus written to wit Received on the day of the date within mentioned the sum of Five dollars Current money it being the full Consideration money within mentioned William Gover Anne Arundel County to wit on this fifteenth day of December personally appears William Gover party to the within instrument of writing before me the subscriber a Justice of the peace of the state of maryland for the said County and acknoledges the to be his act and deed for the purposes within mentioned and the negrow Woman and negrow Children within named to be henceforth manumitted and Discharged from from all service to him or to any Claiming under him and to be free and manumitted according to the acts of assembly in such Case made and provided paid Acknowledged before William D Merriken 3½ Recorded the 19th day of January 1828 |
