382 To all whom it may concern be it known that I John Henry Maccubbin of Anne Arundel County and State of Maryland for divers good causes and considerations me thereunto moving have released from slavery liberated manumitted and set free and by these presents do hereby release from slavery liberate manumit and set free my negro woman named Betsy aged about twenty six years and able to work and gain a sufficient livelihood and maintenance to be free from the date hereof and also my negro child named Adeline daughter of the above named Negro woman Betsy now about the age of three years to be free when she shall arrive to the age of twenty five years and her the said negro woman Betsy I do declare to be henceforth free manumitted and discharged from all manner of servitude or service to me my executors administrators or assigns forever and also the said negro child Adeline to be free when she shall arrive to the age above mentioned In Testimony whereof I hereto set my name and affix my seal this twenty fifth day of September in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty seven Signed Sealed and delivered in the presence of Interlineations and erasures being first made Jn.o H Maccubbin (Seal) W.m R.
