321 hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this twenty eighth day of November eighteen hundred and twenty five Signed Sealed & delivered in the presence of George G Brewer (seal) Gideon White Edward Brewer At the foot of the aforegoing Deed was thus written to wit Rec.d on the day of the date within mentioned the sum of one dollar Current money it being the full Consideration money within mentioned George G Brewer (seal) Anne Arundel County to wit On the twenty eighth day of November eighteen hundred and twenty five personally appears George G Brewer party to the within instrument of writing before me the subscriber a Justice of the peace of the State of Maryland for the said County and acknowledged the same to be his act and Deed for the purposes within mentioned paid Acknowledged before Gideon White 2¾ Recorded the 29th day of November 1825 To all whom it may Concern be it known that I mary Steele of Anne Arundel County in the State of maryland for divers good causes and considerations me thereto moving as also in further Consideration of one dollar Current money to me in hand paid have released from Slavery liberated manumitted and set free and by these presents do hereby release from slavery liberate manumit and set free my negro man named James Henson being of the age of forty years and able to work and gain a sufficient livelihood and maintenance and him the said negro man named James Henson I do declare to be free henceforth free manumitted and discharged from all manner of servitude or service to me my executors or administrators (forever) |
