162 and able to work and gain a sufficient livelihood and maintenance and her the said negro woman named Polly Gibson I do declare shall be thenceforth that is to say from and after the first day of June Eighteen hundred and thirty five manumitted and discharged from all manner of servitude or service to me my Executors or administrators for ever. And I do hereby declare free and determine that the State and Condition of the issue that may be born of the said negro woman named Polly Gibson on or before the said first day of June Eighteen hundred and thirty shall be that of Slaves until such issue shall arrive if males to the age of thirty years and if females to the age of twenty Eight years and in case any such issue being females and their female descendants shall have issue during their periods of service then and in every such case the State and Condition of such issue shall be that of Slaves until such issue shall arrive if males to the age of thirty years and if females to the age of twenty Eight years and I the said William Brewer for divers good causes and considerations me thereunto moving as also in further Consideration of five dollars Current money to me in hand paid have released from slavery liberated manumitted and set free and by these presents do hereby release from slavery liberate manumit and set free from and after the first day of June Eighteen hundred and thirty three my negro Girl named Ann the daughter of the aforesaid (Polly) |
