115 nine In Testimony whereof I hereunto set my hand and affix my seal this sixth day of april Eighteen hundred and nineteen Signed Sealed and delivered in presence of Rachel M Harrison Jos: G Harrison Walter Harrison (seal) At the foot of the aforegoing and was thus written to wit: Anne Arundel County to wit: Acknowledged before me one of the Justices of the peace for the County aforesaid by the above named Rachel maria Harrison as her act and deed this sixth day of april Eighteen hundred and nineteen Chd Jos: G Harrison Ex.d 2¼ Recorded the 1.st day of June 1819 This Indenture Witnesseth that I Rachel maria Harrison of anne arundel County and State of maryland for and in consideration of the sum of one cent to me in hand paid at and before the ensealing and delivery of these presents the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged have released from slavery manumitted and set free and by these presents do release from slavery manumit and set free my negro woman named maria which said negroe being under the age of forty five years of healthy constitution sound in mind and body and Capable by labour to procure to herself sufficient food and raiment with other requisite necessaries of life from and after the first day of January in the year Eighteen hundred and thirty nine.
