92 each and every female as she arrives at the age of eighteen years as aforesaid; In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this third day of february eighteen hundred and ten Witness John Ray John Chew Thomas (seal) Isaac Dorsey on the back of the aforegoing was thus endorsed to wit Anne Arundel county Sc.s on the fifteenth day of february 1810 personally appeared John Chew Thomas before me the subscriber and acknowledged the within deed of manumission to be his act and deed according to the true intent and meaning thereof acknowledged before Exd d d Isaac Dorsey 8. Recorded 23.d April 1810 Know all men by these presents that I John Chew Thomas of ann arundel county and state of Maryland do hereby set free manumit and grant freedom to my following negroe slaves (not included in a deed of manumission this day executed) in the manner and at the respective time herein after mentioned that is to say I set free manumit and grant freedom to Jonathan Guy and Jim & now or lately in the possession of Alex.r Gumm of washington county) from and after the day of the date hereof; I also set free manumit and grant freedom to my negroe woman Flora now or lately in the service of the widow (Turner) |
