after the first day of January eighteen hundred
and twenty five,   I also set free manumit and
grant freedom to the following males to wit
William Basil Joe Prather from and after
the first day of January eighteen hundred and
thirty;   I also set free manumit and grant
freedom to the following males to wit Abram
Valentine Orson and Reuben from and after
the first day of January eighteen hundred
and thirty five; I also set free manumit
and grant freedom to the following females
to wit Harriott Fidei and Kate from and
after the first day of January eighteen hundred
and thirty; I also set free manumit and grant
freedom to my negroe woman Candace
who is now under the care of Evan W. Thomas
from and after the first day of January next
and I set free manumit and grant
freedom to her six children to the males as
they respectively arrive to the age of twenty eight
years and to the females as they respectively
arrive at the age of twenty one years and
with regard to the children which may
hereafter be born of the females herein
before named and which are to be free
at the respective periods of time
herein designated, I do hereby
expressly give and grant to all such
children their freedom in the manner
following each and every male
which shall be born before the time
limitted for the emancipation of the
mother shall be free as he arrives
at the age of twenty five years and
