88 manumitted and set free and by these presents do hereby release from slavery liberate manumit and set free my negro man named William Offer being of or near the age of forty years and able to work and gain a sufficient livelihood and maintainance and him the said negro man named William Offer I do declare to be henceforth free manumitted and discharged from all manner of servitude or service to me my executors or administrators forever In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand affixed my seal this 13.th day of the third month called march in the year of our lord one thousand eight hundred and ten signed sealed & delivered in the presents of Tho.s Norris of Tho.s (seal) Gideon White Jn.o Mallonee on the back of the aforegoing was thus endorsed to wit Anne Arundel county to wit on the 13.th day of march personally appears Thomas Norris of Tho.s party to the within instrument of writing before me the subscriber a Justice of the peace of the state of maryland for the said county and acknowledges the same to be his act and deed for the purposes within mentioned and the negro man within named to be henceforth manumitted and discharged from all service to him or any claiming under him and to be free and manumitted according to the act of assembly in such cases made and provided Gideon White Recorded 14 march 1810 To all whom it may concern be it known that I William Collinson of Anne Arundel county in the state of maryland have released from slavery liberated |
