In witness whereof I do hereby set my hand and affixed my seal this twenty first day of February in the year eighteen hundred and ten signed sealed & delivered in the presence of us Elizabeth Claude (seal) Gideon White Jn.o Mallonee on the back of the aforegoing was thus endorsed to wit Received on the day of the date within mentioned the sum of fifty dollars current money (it being the full consideration money within mentioned witness Jn.o Golder Elizabeth Claude (seal) Anne Arundel county Sc.t Be it remembered that on this twenty first day of February in the year eighteen hundred and ten personally appears Elizabeth Claude party grantor to the within instrument of writing before me the subscriber a Justice of the peace of the State of Maryland for the said county and acknowledges the same to be her act and deed for the purposes therein mentioned and the mulatoe woman and her three children within named to be henceforth manumitted and discharged from all services to her or to any claiming under her and to be free and manumitted according to the act of Assembly in such case made and provided, acknowledged before me pd Exd d d Recorded 27 Feby 1810 Gideon White To all whom it may concern be it known that I Mary Harrison of ann arundel county in the state of maryland have released from slavery liberated manumitted and set free and by these presents do hereby release from slavery liberate manumit and set free from bondage my negro man named James Davis being of the age of about (eight) |
