7 Maryland Ss.t To all whom these presents shall come Greeting: I George Whips of ann arundel county in the State aforesaid for divers good causes and consideration me thereunto moving do hereby declare free mnumit and enfranchise the negroes following to wit negro Charles aged about twenty nine years to be free at the end of three years from this date negro Nan aged about twenty seven years from this state to be free at the end of four years from this date and all the ishue the said negro Han may have dureing the above term of her servitude the mailes to be free at the age of twenty eight years old the femailes to be free at the age of twenty eight years old and their heirs forever in the same manner mailes and females hereby acknowledging the said negroes discharged from all claim of service and right of property whatever from me my heirs executors or administrators from and after the expiration of their stipulated time of servitude and them and theirs forever to be free agreable to the true intent and meaning of this deed of manumission and agreable to an act of assembly in such cases made and provided as witness my hand and seal this twenty second day of march in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and seven interlineation being made George Whips (seal) before signed Benjamin Hood On the back of the aforegoing Benjamin Whips was thus endorsed to wit Anne arundel county Ss.t on the twenty second day of march eighteen hundred & seven personally appeared before me the subscriber one of the Justices of the peace for the county aforesaid George Whips party to the within instrument of writing who acknowledge the said instrument to be |
