named Isaac aged about twenty one years to be free
on the first day of october one thousand eight hundred
and seventeen hereby declaring and acknowledging
the said negro Isaac as aforesaid free and forever
discharged from all claim of service right or property
whatsoever from me or any claiming under me my
heirs executors administrators or assigns from and
after the first day of october one thousand eight hundred
and seventeen.  In testimony whereof I have here
unto set my hand and affixed my seal this twenty
ninth day of September one thousand eight
hundred and eight
signed sealed & delivered
in presence of
Gideon White                Nicholas J. Watkins   (seal)
John M. Sewell

On the back of the aforegoing was thus endorsed to wit
on the twenty ninth day of september one thousand
eight hundred and eight personally appeared before
me the subscriber one of the Justices of the peace
for anne arundel county Nicholas J. Watkins party
to the above instrument of writing and
acknowledges the same to be his act and
deed according to the true intent and meaning
thereof and the acts of assembly in such case
made and provided
