Anne Arundel County Sc.t  Be it remembered
that on this thirtieth day of May in the year
of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and
sixteen personally appeared Mrs Elizabeth Lloyd
of the City of Annapolis party to the within
instrument of writing before me the subscriber
one of the Justices of the peace of the State of
Maryland in and for Anne Arundel County
aforesaid and acknowledged the said within
mentioned instrument of writing to be her act
and deed and the mulatto girl within named
to be henceforth manumitted and discharged from
slavery according to the purport true intent and
meaning of the said instrument of writing and
the act of assembly in such case made and
provided.  Acknowledged before and certified by
ch.d                                             Benj.a Pindle
4¼      Recorded the 17.th day of June 1816


To all whomb it may concern  Be it Known
that I John Merriken of Ann Arundell County
in the State of Maryland for divers good causes
and considerations me thereunto moving do
releace from slavery manumit liberate and
set free and by these presents do hereby releace
from slavery liberate manumitt and set free
