333 Anne Arundel County to wit: On this fifth day of February 1816 personally appears Francis Neale party to the within instrument of writing before me the subscriber a Justice of the peace of the State of Maryland for the said County and acknowledges the same to be his act and deed for the purposes within mentioned and the negro woman within named to be henceforth manumitted and discharged from all services to him or to any claim under him and to be free and manumitted according to the act of Assembly in such case made and provided paid acknowledged before Ex.d d.d James Hunter 3 Recorded the 7.th day of February 1816 To all whom it may concern Be it Known that I Stephen Boone of Anne Arundel County in the State of Maryland for divers good causes and considerations me thereunto moving do agree to be released from slavery liberated manumitted and set free and by these presents do hereby release from slavery liberate manumit and set free my negro woman named Charity when she arrives at the age of 35 years being now of the age of 20 years also the said Charity two Children Julian aged four years and margaret aged one year I do agree to be released from slavery liberated manumitted and set free and by these presents do hereby release from slavery liberate manumit and set free the aforesaid Charity's two children Julian and Margaret when they respectively arrive at the age of 35 years and then the said negroes Charity Julian and Margaret and their increase I do declare to be then |
