328 services to him or to any claiming under him and to be free and manumitted according to the act of Assembly in such cases made and provided Ex.d d.d acknowledged before chd James MacKubin Jun.r 2¾ Recorded the 21.st day of November 1815 To all to whom these presents shall come Be it Known that I Joseph Stansbury of Anne Arundel County for divers good causes and considerations me thereunto moving have and by these presents do manumit set free and liberate from slavery a negro woman called Milly Gold and her child Lear about two years old. In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this fifth day of December eighteen hundred and fifteen Signed Sealed and delivered Joseph Stansbury (seal) in the presence of J. S. Belt Abner Linthicum On the back of the aforegoing was thus endorsed to wit: Anne Arundel County Be it remembered that on this fifth day of December eighteen hundred and fifteen personally appeared before us the subscribers two of the Justices of the peace for Anne Arundel County the above named Joseph Stansbury who acknowledged the foregoing instrument of writing to be his act and deed Ex.d d.d acknowledged before paid John Sprigg Belt Abner Linthicum 1½ Recorded the 19th day of December 1815 |
