257 State of Maryland. To all whom it may concern For divers good causes us thereunto moving we Jerome Plummer and Gerard Plummer of the City of Alexandria in the District of Columbia John Plummer and John Cowman of Anne Rundle County and Joseph P. Plummer of the City of Baltimore State of Maryland do hereby manumit and declare free the following described negroes or colored people viz Jane or Jenny aged about thirty years and her five Children William or Bill aged about ten years Charles seven Rebecca or Beck eight Elenor or Nell five Hannah three Marria aged about twenty five years and her two Children Thomas aged about seven years Jerome five frances or Fanny aged about thirty six years and her three Children Rebecca or Beck aged about ten years Maria eight Henry six Flora aged about twenty six years and her three Children Elizabeth or Betsy aged about six years William four Jane two Also Hannah Norris eighteen years Hereby declaring and acknowledging the said negroes or colored people as aforesaid free and forever discharged from all claim of service right or property whatsoever from us our heirs executors administrators or assigns from and after the expiration of the time and after the date aforesaid.
