226 January eighteen hundred and thirty one Tom negro aged four years to be free on the first day of January eighteen hundred and thirty one John Williams aged one year to be free on the first day of January eighteen hundred and thirty four Nelson negro aged one year to be free on the first day of January eighteen hundred and thirty four Jim negro aged one year to be free on the first day of January eighteen hundred and thirty four together with all the issue which any of the female slaves here before mentioned may have from and after this date and I do hereby renounce all claim of servitude on behalf of myself and all persons claiming under me in and to any of the aforesaid negroes or mulattoes forever. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this twentieth day of August eighteen hundred and thirteen Signed Sealed and delivered Margaret Hopkins (seal) in the presence of Evan Thomas Jun.r Gerrard H. Snowden On the back of the aforegoing was thus endorsed to wit: Anne Arundel County ss.
