Anne Arundel County to wit:  On this 24.th day
of March 1813 personally appears William Brewer
party to the within instrument of writing before
me the subscriber a Justice of the peace of the
State of Maryland for the said County and
acknowledges the same to be his act and
deed for the purposes within mentioned and
the negro woman and children within
named to be henceforth manumitted and
discharged from all services to him or to any
claiming under him and to be free and
manumitted according to the act of assembly
in such cases made and provided

Maryland ss   To all whome these presents
shall come Greeting I Benjamin Stansbury
of Anne Arundel County in the State of aforesaid
for divers good causes and considerations me
thereunto moveing do hereby free manumit
and enfranchise the negro woman following
to wit:  Sall to be free the seventeenth day
February eighteen hundred and twenty three
