206 State of Maryland Ann Arundel County ss February 23.rd 1813. To all whom it may concern For divers good causes me thereunto moving I John Harman of the County aforesaid do hereby manumit and declare free to wit negro Daniel formerly the property of John Plummer of said County said negro man Daniel is about thirty eight years of age hereby declaring and acknowledging the said negro daniel as aforesaid free and forever discharged from all claim of service right or property whatsoever from me my heirs executors administrators or assigns from and after the date aforesaid. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this twenty third day of February eighteen hundred and thirteen witness Present John Harman John Harman (seal) John H. Dorsey On the back of the aforegoing was thus endorsed to wit On the twenty third day of February 1813 personally appeared before me the subscriber one of the Justices of the peace for the County aforesaid John Harman party to the above instrument of writing who acknowledged the same to be his act and deed and the signature and seal thereto annexed to be respectively his paid acknowledged before 2 Isaac Dorsey Recorded the 6 day of March 1813 |
