and eleven
Signed sealed and delivered         Thomas Shickells   (seal)
in the presence of

Gideon White

On the back of the aforegoing was thus endorsed to wit
Received on the day of the date above mentioned
the sum of five shillings current money it being
the full consideration above mentioned
Witness                           Thomas Shickells   (seal)
          Gideon White

Anne Arundel County to wit
    On this eighth day of January 1811 personally
appears Thomas Shickells party to the above
instrument of writing before me the subscriber
a Justice of the peace of the State of Maryland
for the said County and acknowledges the same
to be his act and deed for the purposes within
mentioned and the negro lad within named
to be henceforth manumitted and discharged from
all services to him or to any claiming under
him and to be free and manumitted according
to the true intent and meaning of the within
instrument of writing and the act of assembly
in such cases made and provided
