134. on the back of the aforegoing was thus endorsed to wit Ann Arundel County to wit on the thityeth day of November 1810 came Gerard Plummer before me the subscriber on of the Justices of the peace for the County aforesaid an acknowledged the above instrument of writing to be his act and deed and the negros therein contained ^to released^ agreeable to the acts of assembly made and provided in such cases p.d taken before Ex.d d.d Nicholas Watkins of Tho.s 1½ sds Recorded the 22.d day of December 1810 To all whom it may concern be it Known that I Thomas Shickells of Anne Arundel County in the State of Maryland for divers good causes and considerations of five shillings current money to me in hand paid have released from slavery liberated manumitted and set free and by these presents do hereby release from slavery liberate manumit and set free my negro lad named George being about nineteen years of age from and after the term of my natural life and him the said negro lad named George I do declare to be (from and after the term of my natural life aforesaid) free manumitted and discharged from all manner of servitude or service to my executors or administrators forever.
