On the back of the aforegoing was thus endorsed to wit Anne Arundel County to wit on the twenty third day of May one thousand eight hundred and ten came the within named George Dorsey before me the subscriber one of the Justices of the peace for the County aforesaid and acknowledged the within instrument of writing to be his act and Deed according to the true intent and meaning thereof Ch.d acknowledged before Ex.d d.d Beale Warfield 3 sds Recorded the 21.st day of November 1810 Know all men by these presents that I Samuel Thomas of Anne Arundel County and State of Maryland believing that natural Freedom is the right of all men do hereby set free and manumit the following negroes and their issue at the respective periods of time and in the manner ^following^ to wit negroe Will aged about forty four years to be free from the date hereof negro paul aged about forty four years to be free from the date hereof negroe Jacob aged about forty four years to be free from the date hereof negroe Jack aged about forty years to be free from the date hereof negroe Juba aged about thirty six years to be free from the date hereof negroe Abram aged about twenty five years to be free from the date hereof negroe Ben aged about twenty years to be free in one year |
