112 manumitted and set free and by these presents do hereby release from slavery liberate manumit and set free my negro woman named Chriss Jones and her child William Jones the woman aged thirty years and her child aged four years and able to work and gain her livelihood and her the said negro woman named Chriss Jones and her child named William Jones and I do hereby declare the said Chriss Jones henceforth free manumitted and discharged from all manner of servitude or service to me my executors or administrators forever and I do hereby declare the said William Jones shall be free manumitted and discharged from and after the first day of January in the year of our lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty eight from all manner of servitude or service to me my executors or administrators forever In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this fourteenth day of July in the year of our lord one thousand eight hundred and ten signed sealed & delivered in the presence John Weems (of Ric.d) (seal) of Gideon White Joseph Philips on the back of the Jn.o Mallonee aforegoing deed was thus endorsed to wit Received on the day of (the) |
