was to take place from the date of the manumission
             I further certify that a negro woman named
Rosetta Drummer now present and who has made
application to me for a certificate of her freedom
has proved by testimony which is satisfactory to
me that she is the identical person who was
manumitted by the above mentioned deed of
manumission the said negro woman named
Rosetta is about five feet three inches high she
is of a dark complexion has a mark below her
throat occasioned by a burn and was raised
on south river in the county aforesaid
    Issued 15.th May 1807

                I Nicholas Harwood Clerk of anne
arundel County Court Hereby Certify that a
negro man named Edward Shorter who is now
present and who has made application to me for
a certificate of his freedom has proved by
Testimony which is Satisfactory to me that he
is a free man and the said Edward Shorter
is about five feet five & half inches high of the age
of fifty two years his Complexion black was
born and hid in Charles County and now resides
in the City of Annapolis in Anne Arundel
County aforesaid
                         Issued the 15.th day of may 1807
