Anne arundel county Sc.t
         I Nicholas Harwood clerk of anne arundel county
court.  Do hereby certify that it appears by a deed
of Manumission from Daniel of S.t Thomas Jenifer
bearing date the fourteenth day of april seventeen hundred
and ninety and recorded amongst the records
of anne arundel county court that negro Sall
aged about twenty three years was to be free
in the year Seventeen hundred and ninety
six she is about five feet three inches high
her complexion a dark brown was raised
in anne arundel county   Smith Price
of said county made oath before Gideon
White a Justice of the peace for the
county aforesaid that the said negro
Sall is the identical person mentioned
in the said manumission
    Issued the 19.th of may 1807


    State of Maryland anne arundel county Sc.t
I Nicholas Harwood clerk of anne arundel county
court.  Hereby certify that a negro man named Benjamin
Badger who is now present and who has made
application to me for a certificate of his freedom
has proved by testimony which is satisfactory to me
that he is free born the said Benjamin Badger
is about five feet six inches high appears to be
about twenty two years of age his complexion is
a very dark brown and was raised at the head
of south river in the county aforesaid
       Issued 20.th may 1807
