316 last ^latest^ generation hereby acknowledging the said negro discharged from all claim of service and right of property whatever from me my heirs executors or administrators as witness my hand and seal this tenth day of June in the year of our ^blessed^ Lord one thousand eight hundred and seven Sig.d sealed & acknowledged in the presence of Wm Weems (seal) Henry Childs on the back of the Joseph Wills aforegoing was thus endorsed to w.t Annarundel county June 10.th 1807 Then came Wm Weems before the subscriber one of the Justices of the peace for the county aforesaid and acknowledged the above instrument of writing to be his act and deed according to the true purport and meaning thereof Ex d d d acknowledged before Henry Childs Recorded 1.st July 1807 Know all Men by these presents that we Joshua Penn, Joseph Penn, Rachel Penn, Mary Penn, Margaret Penn Sarah Danielson and Moses Danielson of the State of Maryland for divers good Causes and Considerations We thereunto moving have released from Slavery liberated Manumitted and Set free and by these presents Do hereby release from Slavery liberate manumit and set free one Negro man named Peter being of the age of twenty five years and able to gain work and gain a Sufficient livelihood 'and maintenance And him the said negro man named Peter We do declare to be (henceforth) |
