310. seal this twenty first day of may in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and seven Signed Sealed and delivered in the presence of us Rich.d Weedon ^Jun^ (l) Gideon White Edward Poole on the back of the aforegoing was thus endorsed to Received on the day of the date above mentioned the sum of five dollars current money it being the full consideration within mentioned Witness Gideon White Richard Weedon J.r (l) State of Maryland ann arundel county to wit Be it remembered that on this twenty first day of may in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and seven personally appears Richard Weedon party to the within instrument of writing before me the subscriber a Justice of the peace of the state of maryland for the said county and acknowledges the same to be his act and deed for the purposes within mentioned and the negro woman within mentioned and the negro woman within named to be henceforth manumitted and discharged from all services to him or to any claiming under him and to be free and manumitted according to the act of assembly in such cases made and provided acknowledged before Gideon White Recorded 21.st may 1807 To all whom it may concern be it known that I Henry Duvall of ann arundel county in the state of maryland for divers good causes and considerations me thereto moving do release from slavery manumit liberate and set free |
