279 On the back of the aforegoing was thus Endorsed Vizt Anne Arundel County To wit On the 28th day of May in the year eighteen hundred and six Elisha Harrison within named personally appeared before the Subscriber a Justice of the peace for the said County and acknowledged the within Manumission to be his act & deed and that it is his intention thereby to secure to the said mulatto man named James his freedom from and after the said first day of October in the year Eighteen hundred and ten Acknowledged before Recorded 12th June 1806 Sam Harrison Examined To all whom these Presents shall Come Greeting Know Ye that I Kingsby Linthicum of Anne Arundel County in the State of Maryland for divers good Causes and Considerations me thereunto moving do hereby declare free Manumit & Enfranchize all my Negroes as follows To wit Lucy free from the date of this Manumission Boy Joseph to be free from the date and after the Expiration of (January) |
