Hutton On the back of the aforegoing was thus Endorsed Vizt Anne Arundel County Sct On the 9th day of November 1805 appeared before me one of the Justices of the peace for the County aforesaid Jerningham Drury party to the within Instrument of writing and Acknowledged the same to be his Act and Deed and the Signature and Seal thereto affixed to be respectively his for the purpose me thus mentioned Acknowledged before Cha D Hodges Recorded the 23d January 1806 Exam.d To all whom it may Concern Be it known that I Edward Holland of Anne Arundel County and state of Maryland for divers good Causes and Considerations me thereunto moving have released from slavery liberated manumitted and set free and by these presents do hereby release from Slavery liberate manumit and set free my negro Girl named Barbara being of the age (age) |
