254 a Certain negro man Slave named Edward Brown upon Condition that the said George Hogarth his Executors or administrators should set the said slave at liberty at the end of the term of seven years And Whereas the said term of Seven has expired this day Now this Indenture Witnesseth that the said George Hogarth in pursuance of the said agreement and bargain and Sale Hath Manumitted and set at liberty and hereby doth manumit and set at liberty the said man Slave Edward Brown And the said George Hogarth for himself his executors and administrators doth hereby release and disclaim all right title and Interest in and to the person labour and Services of the said Edward Brown In Witness whereof the parties hereunto have set their hands and seals Signed Sealed and delivered by the above named George Hogarth George Hogarth (Seal) & Araminta Harrison in the presence of us Sam.l Harrison Jun.r Araminta Harrison (seal) Joseph G Harrison On the back of the aforegoing was thus Viz.t A. A. County Sc.t on the 4th day of January in the year of our lord one thousand eight hundred and six personally appeared before me the subscriber one of the Justices of the peace for the County aforesaid George Hogarth party to the within Instrument of writing ^who acknowledged the said Instrument^ to be his act and deed and the Signature and Seal thereto annexed to be respectively his according to the true Intent & meaning of the Same 3.
