216 Eighteen hundred and five personally appears Joseph Court party to the within instrument of writing before me the Subscriber a Justice of the Peace for the County aforesaid & acknowledged the same to be his Act & Deed for the purposes within mentioned according to the ^true^ Intent & meaning thereof & the Act of Assembly in Such Case made & provided Charles D Hodges Recorded 19th February 1805 Exam.d Maryland Sc.t To all whom these presents shall come Greeting I Charles Pettibone of Anne Arundel County in the State aforesaid for divers good Causes and Considerations me thereunto moving do hereby declare Free manumitt & Enfranchise the Negroes following to wit Henry aged about fifty years to be free on the twenty fifth day of December one thousand eight hundred & five, Nace aged about twenty five years to be free on the twenty fifth day of December one thousand eight hundred & Seven, Dinah aged about twenty seven years to be free on the twenty fifth day of December one thousand Eight hundred & Six Susanna aged about twenty two years to be free on the twenty fifth day of December one thousand Eight hundred & ten, John aged about Seventeen years to be free on the twenty fifth day of December one thousand eight hundred and Fifteen Thomas aged about Twelve years to be free on the twenty fifth day of December one thousand eight hundred and twenty James aged about nine years to be free on the twenty fifth day of December One thousand Eight hundred and Twenty Three |
