and manumitted according to the Act of Assembly in
such Cases made and provided

      to
John Boone
 To all whom it may Concern be
it known that I Joseph Court of
Ann Arundel County in the State of Maryland for
divers good Causes & Consideration me thereunto moving as
also in further Consideration of one hundred Pounds to
me in hand paid have released from slavery liberated Manumitted
& set free & by these presents do hereby release
manumit & set free my negro Man named John
Boone whom I bought of W Stockett being about
the age of Thirty five years & able to work & gain a sufficient
livelihood & maintainance & him the same John
Boone  I do declare to be henceforth free manumitted &
discharged from all manner of Servitude or services to
me my Executors or administrators for ever.  In Witness
whereof I have hereunto set my hand & affixed my seal
this nineteenth day of February Eighteen hundred & five
Signed Sealed & delivered
