199 To all whom it may Concern Be it known that I John Hoskin Stone of Ann Arundel County for divers good Causes and Considerations me thereunto moving and also in further Consideration of five Shillings Current money to me in hand paid have released from Slavery manumitted and Set free and by these presents do hereby release from Slavery Liberate manumit and Set free the following Negroes to wit Jenny Drummer Kesioh Drummer and Rosetta Drummer and them I do declare to be henceforth free manumitted and discharged from all manner of Service or Servitude to me my Executors or administrators or Assigns forever In Witness whereof I have hereto Set my hand and Seal this 13th day of September in the Year 1804 Signed Sealed and Delivered in the presence of W.m Stewart John H Stone (seal) James McCulloch On the back of the aforegoing Deed was thus endorsed to wit Ann Arundel County sct Be it remembered that on this Eighteenth day of September in the year eighteen |
