In Witness whereof I have hereto set my hand and affixed my seal this seventeenth day of April one thousand eight hundred and Four Signed Sealed & delivered In the presence of Wm Steuart (seal) Beal Howard Richard Steuart On the back of the aforegoing was thus endorsed Viz.t Anne Arundel County to wit on the seventeenth day of April one thousand eight hundred & four came before me the subscriber a Justice of the peace for the county aforesaid William Steuart administrator of Charles Steuart deceased party to the above deed of manumission who duly acknowledged the same to be his act and deed according to the true intent meaning and operation of the same and the negro Slaves Pender & John thereof liberated to be hence forth entirely free and exempt from service Os.
