171 On the back of the aforegoing was thus endorsed Viz.t Received on the day of the date within mentioned the sum of one hundred Dollars current money it being the full consideration money within mentioned Witness Margaret Sprigg James Mackubin Ann Arundel County sc.t Be it remembered that on this Twenty seventh day of January eighteen hundred and Four personally appears Margaret Sprigg party to the within instrument of writing before me the subscriber a Justice of the peace of the State of Maryland for the said County and acknowledged the same to be her act and deed for the purposes within mentioned and the negro woman within named to be henceforth manumitted and discharged from all services to her or to any claiming under her and to be free and manumitted according to the act of assembly in such cases made and provided acknowledged before James Mackubin Recorded the 28.th day of January 1804 Ed
