Anne Arundel County Court Certificates of Freedom, 1831-1844

    Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit
              I William S Green, Clerk of Anne Arundel County Court
do hereby Certify that it hath been proved to my satisfaction
that the bearer hereof named Henry Matheson aged about twenty
two years about five feet five inches high dark complexion
has a small scar on the left side of the [illegible] lip and
another on the left wrist was free born and that he was
raised in the County aforesaid
    Issued the 21 day of September 1844


    Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit:
              I William S Green, Clerk of Anne Arundel County Court
do hereby Certify that it hath been proved to my satisfaction
that the bearer hereof named Cato Paul aged about
sixty years about five feet five and an half inches high dark
complexion has a scar on the back of the right hand is one
of the persons manumitted by John Chew Thomas by deed dated
the third day of February Eighteen hundred and ten
and that he was raised in the County aforesaid
    Issued the 21st day of September 1844


    Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit
              I William S Green, Clerk of Anne Arundel County
Court do hereby Certify that it hath been proved to
my satisfaction that the Bearer hereof named Deborah
Johnson aged about thirty seven years about four
feet eleven Inches hight brown Complexion has a scar
on the right arm and another upon the back of the
neck is the identical person manumitted by Daml
Heart by deed dated the twenty second day of November
Eighteen hundred and nineteen and that she
was raised in the County aforesaid
    Issued the 12th day of October 1844


    Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit
              I William S Green, Clerk of Anne Arundel
County Court do hereby Certify that it hath been
