Anne Arundel County Court Certificates of Freedom, 1831-1844

five feet high light Complexion has long straight hair no
^perceptible mark^ is the Identical person manumitted by Henry Ridgely
by deed dated the fifteenth day of November in the year
of our Lord Eighteen hundred and thirty nine and that
she was raised in the County aforesaid
    Issued the 21 day of march 1844


    Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit
              I William S Green, Clerk of Anne Arundel County
Court do hereby Certify that it hath been proved to my
satisfaction that the bearer hereof named Eliza Sullivan
aged about thirty seven years about five feet half an Inch
high dark Complexion has a small scar in each eye
brow is one of the persons manumitted by deed dated
the fifteenth day of January in the year of our Lord
Eighteen hundred and nineteen and that she was raised
in the County aforesaid
    Issued the 24th day of march 1844


    Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit
              I William S Green, Clerk of Anne Arundel County
Court do hereby Certify that it hath been proved to
my satisfaction that the bearer hereof named Nelly
Turner aged about twenty three years about five feet
one Inch high brown Complexion has a scar on the
right arm was free born and that she was raised in
the County aforesaid
    Issued the 3d day of April 1844


    Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit:    I William S Green
Clerk of Anne Arundel County Court Do hereby Certify that it
hath been proved to my satisfaction that the bearer hereof
named George Allen aged about twenty three years about
five feet six and a half Inches high black complexion
has a scar on the left arm, was free born, and that
he was raised in the County aforesaid
    Issued the 9 day of April 1844
