Anne Arundel County Court Certificates of Freedom, 1831-1844

    Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit
              I William S Green, Clerk of Anne Arundel County
Court do hereby Certify that it hath been proved to my
satisfaction that the bearer hereof named James Chew
aged about twenty years about five feet seven inches
high light Complexion has a very small scar on
the forehead and another on the right eyebrow was
free born, and that he was raised in the County aforesaid
    Issued the 5 day of July 1843


    Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit
              I William S Green, Clerk of Anne Arundel
County Court do hereby Certify that it hath been proved
to my satisfaction that the bearer hereof named Henry
Carroll aged about five feet three Inches high dark
complexion has four lib is the Identical person manumitted
by Samuel Parrott by deed dated the twenty ninth day of
April in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred
and twenty three and that he was raised in the County
aforesaid
    Issued the 8 day of July 1843


Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit:    I William S Green
Clerk of Anne Arundel County Court do hereby Certify that it
hath been proved to my satisfaction that the bearer hereof
named Charity Boothe aged about twenty Eight years about
five feet one and a half inches high light Complexion has
a scar over the left eye and one of the nose and one on
the brow is the daughter of negro Bet, and one of the
persons manumitted by Philip H Walls by deed dated
the thirtieth day of September in the year of our Lord
one thousand Eight hundred and Eight and that she
was raised in the County aforesaid
    Issued the 19 day of July 1843


    Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit
              I William S Green, Clerk of Anne Arundel County
Court do hereby Certify that it hath been proved
to my satisfaction that the bearer hereof named
