Anne Arundel County Court Certificates of Freedom, 1831-1844

    Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit
              I William S Green, Clerk of Anne Arundel County
Court do hereby Certify that it hath been proved to my
satisfaction that the bearer hereof named Jerry Butler
aged about sixty years about five feet high dark Complexion
has a scar in the forehead between the eyes has a small
mole on the left side of the neck is one of the persons
manumitted by David Robinson by deed bearing date
the twenty fifth day of January seventeen hundred and
ninety one and that he was raised in the County aforesaid
    Issued the 20 day of June 1843


    Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit
              I William S Green, Clerk of Anne Arundel County
Court do hereby Certify that it hath been proved to my
satisfaction that the bearer hereof named Caroline
Robertson aged about thirty years about five feet three
Inches high brown Complexion has a small scar on the
left cheek is the Identical person manumitted by Sarah
E Murray by deed dated the thirteenth day of December
in the year Eighteen hundred and thirty and she was
raised in the County aforesaid
    Issued the 24 day of June 1843


    Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit
              I William S Green, Clerk of Anne Arundel County
Court do hereby Certify that it hath been proved to my
satisfaction that the bearer hereof named Hannah
Walker aged about fifty three years about five feet
half an Inch high brown complexion has a small
mole on the left side of the neck is the identical
person manumitted by absalom Ridgely by deed
dated the twenty seventh day of December in the
year Eighteen hundred and sixteen and that she
was raised in the County aforesaid
    Issued the 28 day of June 1843
