Anne Arundel County Court Certificates of Freedom, 1831-1844

Court do hereby Certify that it hath been proved to my satisfaction
that the bearer hereof named Clarissa Jennings
aged about Eighteen years about five feet three Inches
high dark Complexion has a small mole on the left
thumb near the root of the nail was free born and that
she was raised in the County aforesaid
    Issued the 4 day of September 1841


    Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit
              I William S Green, Clerk of Anne Arundel County
Court do hereby Certify that it hath been proved to my
satisfaction that the bearer hereof named Stephen
Jennings aged about twenty two years about five feet
nine Inches high dark Complexion has scar on
each of his shins and several small scars on the
back of the right hand was free born, and that he
was raised in the County aforesaid
    Issued the 4 day of September 1841


    Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit
              I William S Green, Clerk of Anne Arundel County Court
do hereby Certify that it hath been proved to my satisfaction
that the bearer hereof named Margaret Johnson aged
about thirty years about five feet four Inches high dark
Complexion has a small scar in the left eye brown and
one on the inside of the forefinger of the left hand is the
Identical person manumitted by George McNier by
deed dated the twenty fourth day of march one
thousand Eight hundred and twenty four and that
she was raised in the County aforesaid
    Issued the 10 day of September 1841


    Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit
              I William S Green, Clerk of Anne Arundel
